- With water on both sides of Seaside Heights, life saving stations are always an important resource for boaters and bathers. According to Pauline S. Miller's book 'Ocean County - Four Centuries in the Making' the "Toms River Life Saving Station No. 13 was authorized in 1854 near the south side of the old Cranberry Inlet (present day Seaside Heights)."
- The old wooden bridge that spanned Island Heights with Seaside Heights never had a formal name and was only referred to as "the wooden toll bridge."

- As far back as 1909, Manhasset Realty Company planned a "section of Seaside Heights as a beach resort and began selling lots to Philadelphia and Camden city dwellers" Miller's book reports.
- Four years passed for the "first three blocks of the Seaside boardwalk to be completed", says Miller.
- The population of Seaside Heights was 399 in 1930 and is now close to 3,000.
- In 1913, Seaside Heights Borough was formed from Dover and Berkeley township. The official name of Seaside Heights is actually the Borough of Seaside Heights.
- Tickets for a Bruce Springsteen concert cost $4.50 in June of 1973!
